Obituaries

BONNICI. On Saturday, May 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, director Paolo Bonnici Ltd., aged 99, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his nephews and nieces, his sister-in-law Doris, wife of his late brother Oscar, family, friends and his most devoted carer Emelita C. Martin. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm tomorrow, Monday, May 20, at San Ġwann parish church, followed by internment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but dona­tions to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġ­ġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MICELI DEMAJO. On Friday, May 17, at Casa Antonia, ELENA CLARA, known as Nelly, widow of Dr Joseph A. Miceli BA.,LLD., passed peacefully away in her sleep to meet the Merciful Lord whom she loved in her life. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Anthony, her daughter Maria and her husband Roger Strickland, her son Norbert and his wife Lucienne, her son Herman and his wife Ann, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her sisters Mary, Clare wife of Louis Balzan, her in-laws Judge Albert Manche and Teresita Demajo, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 21, at 9.30am at The Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat- Tarġa. The family would like to thank her carers for all the love they gave her. Donations in lieu of flowers to St Patrick’s church and the Ursuline Sisters, Sliema will be appreciated. May the almighty God grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI. On Thursday, May 16, MARY of Ħamrun, aged 91, passed away peacefully at Gozo General Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her dearest children Joseph and his wife Eleonora, Anna and her husband Michael Grech, her grandchildren Erika and her husband Manuel Galea, Nigel, David and his wife Miriam, Janet and her husband Adrian Mizzi, Ruth and her husband Danny Magro, Sarah, and great-grandchildren Gabriel, Rafael and Chloe.
The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital for St Francis Church, Ħamrun where Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Monday, May 20 at 8.30am followed by interment at Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TABONE – JOE, aged 79, has passed away to eternal life in Albany, USA, on May 14. He leaves to mourn him his beloved wife Sharon, his daughter Ashley and husband Don and their children, his son Sean and his in-laws as well as his brothers Edwin and Edith and their children, Louis and Marthese and their children and his sister Rosemary and the children of his late sister Carmen. Also sorely missed by his many in-laws in Malta including Lara and her partner Joseph and Carl and his wife Krista and their respective children Manuela and Kylee and Max and Kay. May the Divine Mercy in whom we trust welcome him to eternal life in Heaven.

BORG COSTANZI. Cherished memories of our beloved dad EDWIN, aged 87, who passed away on May 14, 2013. Sorely missed by his children Joe, Mary Anne and Michael and their partners Kath, Ian and Lorraine, his grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Gabriella, Francesca and Louisa, Hannah and Andrew and his brother Albert and wife Margaret and his sister Yvonne. DISTEFANO – FRANK. Treasured memories of a dearly beloved father and grandfather, today the 13th anniversary of his death. Fondly remembered by his children Ivan, Claude and Nicolette and their families. May he rest in peace.

GALEA. Treasured memories of Dr FRANK GALEA, MD, especially today the anniversary of his demise. Constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Mima, Cynthia and Claire.

GREGORY – MAURICE. Everlasting memories of a beloved father and grandfather on the 46th anniversary of his death at the age of 56. May he rest in peace of the Lord’s green pastures, and may he watch over us in our journey on earth. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children Walter and Joanna, Cecilia and Godfrey, Francis, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

HYZLER – MARIA. In loving memory of a dear sister-in-law, aunt and grandaunt, being the 11th anniversary of her demise. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Vera, her nephews George, Karl and Mario, and their respective families. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

MESSINA FERRANTE – EDWARD JOHN. Lovingly remembered on his 37th anniversary by his surviving children Josephine and Monica, their families and those of his deceased children Maria and Herbert.

SELVAGI. Treasured memories of our beloved JOAN on the 10th anniversary of her passing. Forever in our hearts and prayers. Christopher, Lucienne, Maryanne, Edward, Lara and Andrew.

Philately meeting

The next Malta Adlerian Psychology Association meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6.30pm at Stella Maris College, Lasallian Centre, Gzira. Lorleen Farrugia will talk about ‘Parenting tips about technology use for better communication within the family and how parents can be role models in keeping a good balance’.
