Obituaries
GRECH. On October 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, BENEDICT, aged 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones and comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marlene, his adorable children Anneke and her husband Simon, Roderick and his wife Fiona, Christianne and her husband Mark Anthony, his precious grandchildren Gabrielle, Christina, Martine and Samuel. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Carmen, his brother Francis and his wife Josephine and his brother-in-law Joseph of his late sister Maryse, his sister-in-law Josephine and her husband Joseph Falzon, his nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, October 9, at 8am, for the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Salesian of Don Bosco, Sliema, would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Golden Care, Naxxar. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GRECH. In loving memory of BEATRICE, who entered eternal life on October 6, at the age of 95. Forever loved and dearly missed by her daughter Yvonne and her husband Valentino, her son Michel and his wife Angela, her son Sammy and his partner Rose, her grandchildren Kevin, Veronica, Karl, Shawn, Alexia and Sharon and their partners, her great-grandchildren James-Anthony, Justin, Charles Édouard and Alexandra Odette, her dedicated carer Ana and all of her nephews, nieces and extended family. We are comforted by the thought that she has been joyfully greeted into the next life by her one true love John, her beloved daughter Odette and her husband Pierre, her parents and siblings, whom she wholeheartedly loved and missed. The funeral Mass will be said today, Friday, October 8, at the Birżebbuġa parish church, at 2.30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to be made to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi. May she rest in peace and comfort.
ZAMMIT. On October 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Miceli, aged 88, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her son Marvin and his wife Raffaella, her beloved grandson Tumas, her sister Theresa Treeby, her nieces and nephews, her in-laws, other family members, numerous friends and the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine’s Home for the Elderly. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, October 9, at 8.30am, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, at 9am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the St Jeanne Antide Foundation, will be greatly appreciated. May she rest in the peace of the risen Lord.
