AGIUS. On September 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, widow of Sunny, of Sliema, aged 86, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Miriam and her husband Bill, Alex and his wife Susan, Rose Ann and her husband Arthur, Stephen and his wife Marcelle, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Ninette, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Monday, September 10 at 8am to St Francis of Assisi church, Msida Street, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
BUSUTTIL. On September 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr TANCRED BUSUTTIL, obstetrician and gynaecologist, passed peacefully away surrounded by his family, aged 90. His loss is deeply mourned by his loving wife Jutta-Maria, née Zeidler, by his children Tancred and Fiona, Petra and Gordon Caruana Dingli, by his grandchildren Philip, Sophia and George, by Rinalda, widow of his brother Godfrey, by Michael Bianchi, Karin Hamkens and Johann, Lotti and Jörg Breustedt, Sandy Harris, other relatives and friends. A private burial was held at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery on Friday, September 7. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
CALLUS. On September 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, CETTINA, of Balzan, passed peacefully away at the age of 93, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sister Madlene and brother Gabriel who lives in Canada, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Monday, September 10 at 8am for Marija Annunzjata parish church, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
DELIA ANNA née Busuttil, at the age of 75, went to meet the Risen Lord on September 8, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. With immense sorrow we announce her passing away like a flickering candle of our beloved mother, wife and sister. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her husband Charles, her children Theresa and Mark, their partners Claudio and Nada, her brother Tony and his wife Victoria, family, many relatives and friends. The funeral praesente cadavere will be held on Tuesday, September 11 at 9am at Attard parish church. The interment will take place in the family vault at the Addolorata cemetery.
SCIBERRAS. On September 7, KARMENU, aged 83, of San Ġwann, son of the late Mikiel Sciberras, passed peacefully away at home to meet the risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Grezzja, his brother Giljan, his niece Doreen and her husband Lorvic and their son Miguel, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, September 11, at 8am for San Ġwann parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at the Addolorata cemetery. Many thanks to the family doctor and specialists for their devotion and care. Lord grant him everlasting peace.

A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations will be held on Saturday at Santa Venera parish church.
The prayer meeting starts at 9pm, with Mass followed by adoration which goes on till 11pm.
