Marriages

Mr CHRISTOPHER PISCOPO and Ms MARCELLINE ELLUL
The marriage took place on Friday, April 25, at the Transfiguration parish church, Lija, between CHRIS, son of Mr Antonio Piscopo and the late Mrs Maria Piscopo, and MARCELLINE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ellul. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Anton Gouder, together with Fr Nicholas Cachia, Fr Claude Portelli, Fr John Scicluna, SJ and Fr Mario Jaccarini, SJ. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Claudine Fenech, the bride's sister, and Mr Tarcisio Piscopo, the groom's brother. Mr Norbert Ellul, the bride's brother, carried out the duties of best man. The bride was attended by Ms Alessia Sansone and Ms Roseanne Piscopo. Master Carl Fenech, the bride's nephew, was pageboy, while Ms Lara Fenech, the bride's niece, was flower-girl. Mr Michael Paul Piscopo, Mr Luke Ellul and Master Stephen Ellul acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Tarġa. The couple are spending their honeymoon abroad.

Obituary

GAUCI. On May 3, at St Vincent de Paul, VICTOR, of Naxxar, aged 83, ex-proprietor of Victor's Furniture, sculptor and painter, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marija, his children Antoinette and her husband Magistrate Lawrence Quintano, Joe and his wife Veronica, Raymond and his wife Carmen, Marcon and her husband Joseph Lanzon, grandchildren, sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

MICALLEF. On May 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, STELLA, aged 67, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. WILCOX. On April 29, at Wisdom Hospital, Rochester, Kent, JOELE, née Micallef, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church.
