BANAVAGE. On October 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROBERT, widower of Maria, aged 97, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Paul and his wife Monica, Sunny and his wife Minerva, Anna and her husband Mark Satariano, his grandchildren, their respective spouses, his great-grandchildren, all relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, at 1.30pm for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BUSUTTIL. On October 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, NADIA, née Zammit, aged 63, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her partner Mario, her sisters Josette and her husband John Cefai, Irene widow of Vincent Francica, Felicienne wife of John Camilleri, Yvonne wife of Anthony Stephens, Sonia wife of Tony Camilleri, her brothers Oliver and wife Connie, Charles and wife Antoinette, Maureen wife of the late Tony, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church Sliema.Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On October 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANCESCA, née Muscat, aged 90, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her four children, Catherine and her husband David, Charlie widow of Mary Farrugia, Philip and his wife Madliene, Doris and her husband Eric, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, at 2.45pm for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at the Mosta cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at the Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa and Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

KINGSTON. On October 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, MICHAEL, of San Ġwann, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris née Bartolo, their sons Michael and his wife Micheline and Martyn; their grandchildren Rebecca, George, Alexander, Eleanor, Natasha, Edward and Martyn; his brother Alfred and his daughters Trisha, Audrey and Paula and their spouses and his grandchildren and great grandchildren; their nephew Kevin and his wife Mary and their family; and other relatives and many friends, particularly among the members of the Royal British Legion, British Residents’ Association and The Malta Union Club where he was one time Chairman and Treasurer. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, October 12 at 1pm for the chapel at Casa Leone, Sacred Heart Avenue, St Julians, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Malta Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

KIRK MacDERMOTT. On October 9, at Hilltop Gardens in Simblia Care Home, MARGARET, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of  Holy Church.  She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Jane and husband Nick, Jeremy and wife Bettina, her beloved grandchildren, Lucy and husband Dave, great grandchildren Jamie and Wilco, Ben, Annabel, Daisy and fiancé Olly, Amy and fiancé Oscar, Emily, step children and other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa on Monday, October 16, at 10am. No flowers by request by donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Forever in our hearts.

XUEREB. On Saturday, October 7, ERMINIA, née Camilleri, aged 97,  widow of Manu and predeceased  by her youngest son Anton, at Pax et  Bonum, Mosta. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Dennis and Mary-Rose and their respective families, her sister Bice and her brother-in-law Lino Camilleri,  widower of her sister Rose, nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held today, Wednesday, October 11. Mass præsente  cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel followed by interment in the  family grave. May the Lord grant her eternal rest. The family wish to thank the Franciscan Sisters and their staff  at Pax et Bonum for the exceptional care and dedication  given to our mom whilst a resident at the Home.
