Sunday afternoon’s meeting at the Marsa Racetrack will feature the first three finals after the summer recess this season.
Trotters in the silver, bronze and copper categories will compete in three condition races, all spon-sored by Finnish company Velj.Wahlsten Oy, represented in Malta by P&M Farrugia.
This company manufactures horse and driver equipment.
The owners of the three winning horses will receive a commemo-rative blanket while the first four finishers in each race will be presented with a trophy that has been commissioned specifically for these races, thanks also to Ronald James, of Marindex Trophies.
The qualifying races, held over the past three weekends, were very competitive and reached a very good level, especially in the silver category.
From the seven races, only the winners were guaranteed a place in the final while the remaining berths were awarded to the best five second-placed horses.
