This year marks five solid years running for SiGMA. What makes this summit so unique is that it’s been a national show right from the very beginning. Last year marked its entry to becoming a European show, but it is this year that has seen it take the plunge and become a world-class event, with a myriad of delegates pouring in from right across the globe.

We’re welcoming the industry faithful from Asian markets, from the Latin American markets, and from the North American markets – it is this kind of international support and interest that has helped propel SiGMA into truly becoming the world’s iGaming village.

Our conferences and workshops also reflect this worldwide perspective, with topics ranging from regulatory issues – where the focus will be on the introduction of the new gaming act, licensing regimes in Scandinavia and pan-African regulation – to navigating the realities of investment in the international market.

Our promise to remain at the forefront is being reflected by our other shows, including blockchain. Gaming has been vociferous in embracing this emerging technology and we feel that today, we are extremely well connected in the blockchain space. We put on a tremendous show which welcomed 8,500 people in its inaugural debut.

With rock stars from that industry, such as Scott Stornetta and John McAfee gracing our floor plan, I think we can leverage those contacts to make sure that the gaming industry keeps flourishing the way it deserves.

After a successful introduction at last year’s show, we are once again hosting a conference entirely dedicated to blockchain. Aside from the obvious focus on the immense promise of the disruptive tech – the Blockchain Conference will also save a corner of debate for the interplay with sister tech, such as artificial intelligence and the internet of things.

Among the highlights drumming up interest is a friendly-competitive Hackathon, which has lured some of the best developers to the island. We’ll be announcing the winners of the $50,000 prize at the end of the summit, so keep your ears peeled.

Our flagship show works hard to attract the right kind of people to the island, which is why initiatives like SiGMA Pitch gives this growing industry a boost in the right direction. Not to be missed, the Pitch offers start ups a unique opportunity to win a space on the expo floor, score invites to networking events and reel in potential funding and mentoring from industry veterans.

At the heart of our mission is our goal to help forge the right connections by providing top-notch networking opportunities. We know that little conversations often lead to big ideas. We also aim to carve out a unique space for thought leaders to contribute to great debate, a concept which is integral to the development of a thriving industry. We have always been clear that our role is to shine a spotlight on others, rather than hogging it for ourselves.

SiGMA 2018 is all set to emulate the success of previous years, bringing the high standards and quality it has deservedly become known for.

So, without further ado, enjoy the show at SiGMA, the world’s iGaming village.
