Within the European Parliament structure, his commitment is to reflect the tenets of his electoral campaign. The furtherance of the rights and position of the ordinary citizen - to enhance ease of access to EU institutions and pursue the rights of specific groups within such spheres as agriculture and fisheries; the rights of persons with disability and those working with them and the safeguarding of our cultural heritage. The furtherance of the rights and position of Malta and Gozo particularly in spheres which are of direct interest to us nationally, such as the effects of illegal immigration; the safeguarding of our complement of laws on foreign investment and financial services, and tourism.

To this personal commitment he is determined to direct over twenty three years of professional experience of working closely with people from all walks of life, with local and international executive, administrative and judicial entities as well as European Union institutions.
