Bank Of Valletta is holding its 13th retrospective exhibition, this time featuring works by sculptor Anton Agius.

The exhibition, at the bank's head office in Sliema, was inaugurated by President Eddie Fenech Adami on Friday evening.

On display are 60 exhibits consisting of sculptures in wood, stone and other media. A fully illustrated catalogue, containing a biographical synopsis about the artist written by the curator of the exhibition, Louis P. Saliba, was also launched during the inauguration. The exhibition will remain open to the public until July 8.

Bank chairman Roderick Chalmers said this was the seventh consecutive year that BoV was supporting Maltese artists by organising exhibitions of their works. He said the bank was resolute in its commitment to remain a leading patron of local arts and culture.

He said the bank's support towards the communities in which it operated spanned a number of areas including education, health, welfare and culture.
