Sunday's Malta Cup finale will definitely be a day to remember for Terry Camilleri and for the game of snooker in Malta in general. The 33-year-old international snooker referee has been assigned to officiate the best-of-17 frames final which will determine the winner of the 200th world ranking event sanctioned by World Snooker since 1976.

This will be Camilleri's first ranking final since he became an international professional referee in 2001. He is the second Maltese official to be assigned a world ranking final. Michael Attard Montalto controlled the 2001 European Open final between Stephen Hendry and Joe Perry.
