A motorist was seriously injured when his car crashed and overturned in Victoria, Gozo, late on Sunday.

The police said the incident happened at 9.15pm in Triq il-Belliegħa.

The 48-year-old from Xewkija was driving a Hyundai Accent which went out of control and ended up on its roof.

A parked  Nissan Qashqai was damaged.
