The flowers and candles dedicated to the slain blogger, Daphne Caruana Galizia, outside the law courts in Valletta have been cleared again.

This is not the first time that the make shift shrine has been cleared up, but whereas this is often done by individuals, this time the area has been surrounded by police barriers. A team of workers later moved in to clean the Great Siege statues themselves.

Sources said that the move may be connected to the wreath-laying ceremonies scheduled to mark Victory Day at the Great Siege monument, on Thursday evening at 7.30pm, which the Acting Prime Minister, Speaker of the House and Opposition Leader will attend.
