British High Commissioner, Stuart Gill, will tomorrow host a town hall meeting on UK nationals working and living on the Maltese islands, and answer questions regarding the status of their rights following Britain’s departure from the European Union.

The meeting at the Grand Hotel in Mġarr, Gozo, from 6 till 7.30pm, is free and open to all interested UK nationals.

Representatives from the Maltese government will also participate.

High Commissioner Gill said: “Since last month’s town hall meeting with UK nationals, we have been pleased to hear the important statement by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat outlining Malta’s offer to UK nationals living in Malta, which provides that UK nationals can carry on living their lives broadly as they do now in any scenario.

“[Wednesday’s] meeting will help explain this offer and give further clarity to UK nationals on the status of their rights following the UK’s departure from the EU. Holding our next event in Gozo reflects the British High Commission’s endeavour to reach as many British citizens working and living here as possible.”
