A workshop on design and tech-nology was recently delivered by Lady Sue Dale Tunnicliffe from the University of London's Institute of Education as part of the University of Malta's B.Ed. (Hons) primary course.

The activity provided a hands-on experience. Students used G-clamps, scissors, wood, glue and other everyday material to create models for their classroom.

The exercise served to help students understand the process of design and technology, and to understand what type of activities they would need to carry out with children in primary schools.

The workshop was made possible by the Erasmus staff exchange programme within the Lifelong Learning Programme, funded by the European Commission.
