Bricks were placed on the disabled parking bays outside the Millennium stand at Ta’ Qali, raising the ire of blue badge holders.

One of them sent a picture to Oliver Scicluna, the Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disability, who posted the photo on Facebook calling it “shameful”.

“Even if [the obstacles] are there temporarily, it is careless because whenever parking is taken, there should be a permit,” he told the Times of Malta.

The blocks were removed shortly after the story appeared on Facebook and subsequently on the Times of Malta.
