A 34-year-old man from Hamrun was injured on Saturday morning when the Land Rover Defender he was driving overturned.

The accident happened in Aldo Moro Road, Marsa, blocking two of the Valletta-bound lanes of the wide road. 

No other vehicles were involved and the Land Rover appeared to have hit a centre strip.

The driver was given first aid on-site and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. District police are leading an investigation into the incident.
