An elderly pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Triq id-Daħla ta’ San Tumas, Żejtun, late on Wednesday.

The police said the 75-year-old man from Żejtun was hit by a Daihatsu Sirion car driven by a 24-year-old man from Mtarfa.

He was hospitalised. The police are investigating.
