The last three concerts of the fifth edition of the Malta International Organ Festival, will be held today, tomorrow and on Friday. The festival, which started on November 15, featured 19 concerts by world-renowned musicians performing some of the greatest music written for the organ, held in various cathedrals, basilicas and churches around the Maltese islands.

Christian Schmitt from Germany will perform a solo organ concert inaugurating the organ at the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory in Senglea, today at 7pm. Attendance is free.

Marco D’Avola from Italy will perform a solo organ concert at the Conversion of St Paul Parish Church, Safi, tomorrow at 7.15pm. Attendance is free.

The grand finale, featuring Telemann’s Christmas Cantata – Göttlichs Kind, laß, mit Entzücken – will be performed by the Valletta International Baroque Ensemble (VIBE), accompanied by baritone Joseph Lia and conducted by organist Stefano Molardi from Italy, at St Augustine Parish Church, Valletta, on Friday at 8pm.
