The Institute for Education is making preparations for the launch of its third annual prospectus with applications to open Monday, May 13 for programmes commencing in October 2019.

Since opening its doors in 2016, the Institute for Education has actively grown as a higher educational institute fostering a network of learning among all those who contribute to and support education.

Recognising the need for educators to have access to flexible academic and practical training, the Institute has developed several Bachelor and Master degrees as well as short courses, which adopt a part or fully online approach to teaching and learning. This allows its participants to access academic content at their own time and the facility to participate in online discussion forums and live sessions.

Last year the Institute received an overwhelming response at the launch of its first full degree programmes specialising in several areas including vocational subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Apart from this, the Institute launched its first fully online Master’s degree in Applied Educational Leadership (MQF 7) designed to support the development of individuals who currently work in or aspire to take on a leadership role in the education sector.
These programmes are set to launch again with new and additional areas for specialisation.

For further information on its programmes, the Institute for Education will be hosting an Open Day on May 10 between 3pm-8pm at its premises in Martin Luther King Road, Pembroke. During the day, prospective applicants may visit the Institute’s premises in Pembroke and seek guidance from its staff on eligibility criteria, the structure of the programmes and the methods of teaching and assessment employed.
