There have been letters recently on both poor and good customer service. Incomprehensibly, as we move towards an economy more orientated towards services, we seem to consistently score low on attitude, which is the essence of a good customer service. So when one meets with individuals having the right attitude towards work this is indeed very pleasant and they should be applauded.

I wish to commend Patrick Polidano, officer-in-charge at the Maltapost head office on the evening of December 20, who without fuss but with much efficiency helped me out when I inadvertently posted important personal documents in a Valletta post box.

I had my documents back practically within the hour. Indeed, prosit.
