Professionally-trained burglars use master locksmith skills to modify keys and break into homes without causing damage, the police will reveal on Times Talk tonight.

Tonight's edition, the first for the schedule, will discuss the phenomenon of professional burglaries in Malta, as well as the spike in pickpocketing.

The programme will feature the police displaying the way tools have been manipulated by burglars along the years to break into homes. It will also feature an interview with a burglary victim.

The main guests are Assistant Police Commissioner Silvio Valletta and criminologist Saviour Formosa.

Presented by Herman Grech and Mark Micallef, Times Talk will be aired on TVM at 10.05pm. It will be available on demand from www.timesofmalta.com from tomorrow.
