How many hours of continuous pneumatic hammer noise, starting at 8am, non-stop, and still going at 3pm, before it becomes illegal?

How many decibels from this machinery before it causes permanent damage to your eardrum?

How many concrete mixers blocking streets, pumping concrete and non-stop diesel fumes for hours are allowed?

How many permits issued for building sites within 200 metres?

How much dust and aggravation? How many would-be garages sporting ‘No parking’ and ‘Tow zone’ posters, which are actually flats and stores, and abused as reserved parking by their owners?

How many visitors saying “never again” before the relative incompetent authority takes action? All of this at St Luke’s Road, St Paul’s Bay.

Does anybody care?

Will it be too late when we wake up?
