The three young Italian singers will keep the promise they made to their Maltese fans when Il Volo last performed here and will be returning to give a live concert in mid-July.

Il Volo, who placed third at the 69th Sanremo Music Festival in February, are marking their 10th anniversary together with concerts around the world and their new album Musica.

The concerts start in Japan later this month and will continue in Italy, various cities in Europe and even in Latin America.

Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble will sing at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, in Ta’ Qali, on July 19. They have been here twice before, in August 2015 and June 2017.

Their anniversary celebrations will continue next year when the young trio tour the United States and Canada.

The singers’ new CD reveals their tastes and musical influences.

In addition to the song Musica che resta, with which they placed third at Sanremo, it also includes two unpublished works, Fino a quando fa bene and Vicinissimo, and the covers of Arrivederci Roma, A chi mi dice, People, La nave del olvido, Lontano dagli occhi, Be my love, La voce del silenzio and Meravigliosa creatura.

The artists started their career in 2009, when they competed in Italian TV singing competition Ti lascio una canzone. They have since appeared alongside giants like Barbra Streisand and Placido Domingo, and have recently received the Gold Creator Award, a recognition given by YouTube to channels that exceed one million subscribers.
