The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices in September was 1.6%, down from 1.9% in August 2019, the National Statistics Office said.

It said the 12-month moving average rate for September stood at 1.6%.

The largest upward impact on annual inflation was measured in the Restaurants and Hotels Index, while the largest downward impact was recorded in the Education Index.
