The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices in March was 7.1%, up from 7% in February, the National Statistics Office said.

The 12-month moving average rate for March stood at 6.8%.

The NSO said that the largest upward impact on annual inflation was measured in the food and non-alcoholic beverages Index (+2.30 percentage points).
