Adds reaction by the PBS CEO
Jason Micallef, head of One Productions and former general secretary of the Labour Party, is insisting that someone should shoulder responsibility for the way Malta performed in Eurovision.
Writing on facebook, Mr Micallef asked who, in the same Maltese delegation of the past two years, would shoulder responsbility for what went wrong yesterday, as well as last year and the year before.
"The same clique of people who know no shame in spending the people's money, removes capable persons and works only with the clique, for the clique. Who will shoulder responsibility?" he asked.
In an earlier post, Mr Micallef sarcastically offered his congratulations to whoever led the Maltese delegation and raised Malta's expectations in the past few days.
Malta placed 21st in the final of the Eurovision song contest despite a brilliant performance by Kurt Calleja, who was congratulated by the two political parties.
BEST RESULT SINCE 2005
When contacted for his comment, PBS CEO Anton Attard said the people's clear reaction to Mr Micallef's remarks were enough of an answer. He pointed out, however, that Saturday's result was Malta's best since 2005.
