Thousands still relish the idea of exchanging Panini stickers come every major football tournament. But the sight of people exchanging stickers displaying images of Ronaldo and Messi at street corners could well be set for another kind of local ball game.

A sticker album dedicated to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is heading to your nearest stationery.

Local sticker album producers Album & Co have unveiled the sticker album dedicated to Dr Muscat to coincide with Freedom Day on March 31.

There will be over 300 stickers to collect, all showing key moments from Dr Muscat's political career, from meeting supporters, speaking during mass meetings or in the midst of a political campaign.

Entitled 'Joseph Muscat - A Success Story', the album will cost €12.99 and a packet of five stickers will cost €1.50. The company is asking supporters to reserve their copies through their Facebook page or at any stationery.

Album & Co went on to say the album would serve as a "nice memory" of Dr Muscat as one of the most beloved and successful leaders in Malta.

It then went on to add a disclaimer that the organisation was not affiliated with any politician or party.

The disclaimer was backed up within hours with a Labour Party statement saying the party had not given permission for the sticker album and had no association with it.
