People on the waiting list for a kidney will benefit from an IT system which will help to determine the best recipient for a particular donor kidney.

Money for the system will be raised by the 19th edition of the LifeCycle challenge: 16 cyclists will be leaving soon to cycle for 10 to 12 hours a day for 10 days from Nairobi in Kenya to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania - a total distance of approximately 1,900km.

Main sponsor Foster Clark today presented €25,000 to the LifeCycle Foundation, which raises money for those suffering for renal failure.
