KPMG ended the month of October on a philanthropic note, as it joined one of Malta’s largest fundraising and awareness initiatives, the Pink October campaign.

All KPMG employees, including partners and directors were encouraged to report to work wearing a touch of pink on Tuesday, October 30, with the aim of raising more awareness about breast cancer and how it can be prevented.

What’s more, employees were welcomed to the office with pink cupcakes, which they could enjoy against a small donation towards the cause. This initiative was organised by KPMG’s Social and CSR Committee.

KPMG are proud that for yet another year, the firm contributed to the fight against breast cancer.

“One in eight women will face the fight against cancer during her lifetime. However, early detection can help save lives,” explained Doreen Fenech, head of KPMG’s Social and CSR Committee. She emphasised that, nevertheless, detecting cancer at an early stage necessitates lots of education and support. Thus, increasing cancer awareness and encouraging the staff to do regular health check-ups is always a priority on KPMG’s agenda.

All proceeds collected during the day will go towards the Action For Breast Cancer Foundation.
