Senglea defeated Birkirkara to maintain their top-flight status, St Andrews overcome Gżira and will now face the third-place team of Division One in the play-out while Qormi will return to the second-tier.

9.47pm GOAL! Birkirkara have pulled one back to make the score 2-3 against Senglea. Are we in for a thrilling finale at the Hibs Stadium?

9.42pm GOAL! It looks like that Senglea are closing in on salvation as they have extended their lead to 3-1 after Leighton Grech converted from the penalty spot.

This result would propel the Cottonera side to 26 points, leaving St Andrews in the play-out spot.

9.35pm PENALTY MISS! Micallef stepped up for the kick but he fired wide... unbelievable.

9.34pm It's all happening at the National Stadium as just a minute after the equaliser Qormi were awarded a penalty for a foul by Tyrone Farrugia on Micallef.

9.32pm TWO GOALS IN TWO GAMES!

It's all square at the National Stadium, as fifteen minutes from time, Manolito Micallef powered his way inside the area before picking up substitute Tensior Gusman who fired home... Can Qormi find an escape route?

Meanwhile, Senglea have taken the lead courtesy of a Matias Garcia header that has now propelled the Cottonera side out of the relegation zone.

9.22pm It is all Senglea now. Leighton Grech first arrowed a shot just wide of the far post and then Andrew Hogg blocked a dangerous effort by Gary Camilleri.

9.18pm GOAL! Qormi suffer a big blow as James Brincat put Mosta ahead on 61 minutes.

The nippy Mosta midfielder exchanged the ball with Jonas Ekani before firing a firm drive past Cassar from just inside the area.

Right now, Qormi would be automatically relegated, both because of the defeat and also due to St Andrews victory over Gżira.

9.13pm PENALTY MISS! Penalty miss for Gżira United, Matthew Calleja Cremona partially saves Andrew Cohen's penalty.

9.04pm GOAL! The second half of the games have already provided us a goal as Senglea levelled terms with Birkirkara through a Diego Venancio penalty.

This result would force a decider with St Andrews.

8.46pm Half-time scores across the three stadiums:

Qormi vs Mosta 0-0

Birkirkara vs Senglea Athletic 1-0

St Andrews vs Gżira United 1-0

As it stands, St Andrews would avoid the drop, Senglea would be forced to play the relegation-promotion play-off while Qormi would be relegated.

8.42pm Qormi come close again when on 42 minutes Manolito Micallef picks Antonio Rozzi but his volley finishes just over the bar.

8.27pm Great chance for Qormi as Wellington finds himself in front of Mosta goalkeeper Yves Moto but his effort is palmed away by the Blues goalkeeper...

8.20pm Here are the current standings after the first 20 minutes of play...

8.19pm GOAL! Another turn of events in the standings as Birkirkara are leading Senglea, which means that the Cottonera outfit are currently in the play-out spot...

Birkirkara's Jorginho tapped in after Michael Mifsud whipped in a cross from the right flank.

8.15pm These are the current standings...

8.08pm GOAL! St Andrews have opened the score on the eighth minute against Gżira United through Matthew Woo Ling who capitalised on a Martin Davis cross.

This means that the Saints are currently level with Senglea on points, a scenario that would force a decider to determine who ends up in the play-out spot.

8.03pm Qormi came close to take the lead after three minutes when Yannick Yankam found himself unmarked inside the area but his shot was blocked a Mosta defender.

8pm It's 8pm and all three games have kicked off! Stay tuned to our blog for the latest updates...

7.25pm There is a lot that could be happening so make sure to take note of the upcoming scenarios!

Senglea Athletic:

They are currently in a safe position, but should they fail to pick maximum spoils, the Cottonera side could either finish level on points with St Andrews (if Senglea draw, St Andrews win) or even more below in the play-out spot where they face the third-placed team from Division One (if Senglea lose and St Andrews win).

St Andrews/Qormi:

A defeat for St Andrews coupled with a win for Qormi against Mosta would see the latter leapfrog the Saints and move into the play-out spot, while a decider for the play-out game could be also forced should St Andrews draw and Qormi win.

7.15pm So, here we are for judgement day in the bottom half of the championship.

These are the three appointments that we will be keeping a close eye on:

National Stadium: 8pm Qormi vs Mosta.
Hibs Stadium: 8pm St Andrews vs Gżira United.
Tedesco Stadium: 8pm Birkirkara vs Senglea Athletic.

7.05pm Before refreshing your minds with all the possible scenarios of tonight's games, week 26 has already started as Tarxien Rainbows and Floriana are crossing swords as we speak.

The Greens are leading 2-0 with goals from Tiago Galvao and Arthur Oyama in the first 45 minutes.

This win would see Floriana move into eighth on 32 points, while Tarxien would remain 10th on 26 points.

Nonetheless, both teams have already secured their top-flight status for the 2019/2020 campaign.

7pm Welcome to our live blog for tonight's Premier League matches that will define the future of three Premier League clubs, namely Qormi, Senglea Athletic and St Andrews.

The relegation battle is on tight edge as there are only four points separating these three sides who by the end of the night will either secure salvation, face the third-placed team in Division One in a relegation-promotion play-off or slip to the second-tier of Maltese football.
