The Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA) recently participated in the 10th edition of the SME Forum organised by the Malta Institute of Accountants. The MBA was represented by its assistant secretary general Mariosa Vella Cardona who discussed the issues which influence the current banking and lending landscape as part of a panel dealing with an exploration into traditional and new sources of financing. 

The other speakers on this panel were: Matthew Caruana, manager, ZAAR Crowdfunding Platform; Albert Frendo, chief credit business development officer, Bank of Valletta Group; Catherine Galea, head, banking supervision, MFSA; Philip Maurice Mifsud, country ambassador for Malta (Revolut) (UK); Simon Micallef, senior manager, compliance, APS Bank Ltd; and Ranier Fsadni, assistant lecturer, Faculty of Arts, University of Malta as moderator.
