Diadora, the Italian sportswear company, are to become the official technical suppliers of the Maltese national teams.

Months of negotiations between Malta FA officials and representatives of TeamSport, one of the leading sport goods retailers on the Maltese islands, have led to the signing of a four-year agreement.

Sources have told The Times that the deal has been rubberstamped by TeamSport Italy after they accepted the proposal from their local franchise holders to sponsor the Maltese national teams through diadora.

The proposed agreement will see Maltese national teams at all levels wearing diadora apparel in international matches as well as during training.

Diadora will replace errea as Malta's technical partners. Errea, represented locally by Tuttosport, have kitted out the Malta selections for the past six years.

The new commercial ties between the Malta FA and TeamSport have also benefited local referees.

The Malta Football Referees' Association (MFRA) have entered into a long-term collaboration with TeamSport by way of which Maltese referees, like their Italian counterparts, will wear diadora outfits.
