The 18th edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival, organised by the Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Tourism Authority will be taking place on four nights between today and May 4. The festival is a guaranteed time of excitement for locals, tourists, as well as the fireworks factories. International pyrotechnic companies will also participate. The displays will be held at Mqabba (today), Xagħra (Saturday), Valletta (Tuesday) and The Granaries in Floriana (May 4).

At Mqabba this evening, Vaccalluzzo Eventi from Catania and the Għaqda tan-Nar 25 Ta’ Novembru of Żejtun.

At Xagħra on Saturday – Pyrocom from Estonia and Platinum Fireworks of Valenzuela City, Philippines.

Shows today and on Saturday between 8 and 11.30pm. Seating fee: €5
