A line up of Maltese artists will be taking over New York based electronic music internet radio and DJ mix subscription service Frisky on August 31.

One of the radio's most prestigious shows is "Frisky Loves" which features one hour sets mixed by artists coming from one particular country.

The project is being mentored by the local trio known as the Diplomatic Brothers who already host a monthly show on Frisky called Ignition. The trio proposed the idea of showcasing Maltese artists on Frisky since our country has many talented artists who deserve international exposure.

"It is very exciting to see music from other Maltese people being aired alongside big names in the industry," Clint Calleja, founder of Diplomatic Brothers said.

"We feel that Malta has a lot of hidden talents when it comes to music. That's why we made the call for Frisky loves Malta, it gives us the chance to highlight that music, like any other art form, is not a competition but one big collaboration towards expressing yourself."

"We wanted to let the world know that our small island has more to offer than sun and sea, especially when it comes to quality electronic music."

There are already eight confirmed artists in the line up which include the Diplomatic Brothers, The Element, DJ Ruby, Carl B, Kenneth Forseth, Chris B, Tenishia, Acidulant, FDM, Lar3n and Psycho. The evaluation process is still underway.
