Maltese songwriter Gerard James Borg will be back in the Norwegian selections for the Eurovision Song Contest for the second consecutive year with his entry Absolutely Fabulous.

The song has made it through a very tough selection of 585 submissions, and it will be one of 18 entries shortlisted to take part in the 2006 Melodi Grand Prix semi-finals to be held in Oslo.

This year two songs from four different heats will make it to the final night when the winning song will be chosen on February 4.

One of the composers of Mr Borg's submission is the renowned Swedish composer Thomas Gson who has written a total of 19 entries for the Swedish finals in the past years.

He also penned the winning song for Sweden in 2001, Listen To Your Heartbeat, which was performed by Fame and placed fifth.

Also composing and producing this song is Andres Rickstand who is one of the major producers in Sweden.

Absolutely Fabulous will be performed by the duo Geir Lillejord and Dean-Erik Andersen, two of the most popular drag queens in the Nordic region, who are better known as Queentastic.

With some special lyrics, a very catchy tune and outrageous performers, Absolutely Fabulous promises to be something worth watching. Mr Borg is doing well on an international scale. This will be his second international entry this year.

Together with composer Philip Vella he has penned a song called Beyond You that has made it to the Belgian finals and which will be performed by Vanessa Chinitor.
