A 53-year-old man died on Sunday after falling from a cliff in Delimara, Marsaxlokk.

The accident happened at around 8.40am.

The police said the man, who is Austrian and lives in Cospicua, was walking along the cliffs in the St Peter's Pool area when he fell from a height of around three storeys.

He was certified dead on site.

An inquiry is being held.

The police are investigating.
