A 48-year-old man died on Thursday after locking himself on his roof.

The victim, who lived in Triq il-Karmelitani, Fgura, tried to climb down to his balcony, the police said in a statement. 

He fell a height of three storeys and died on the spot.

Police and magisterial inquiries are ongoing.
