A man was rescued on Sunday after falling down a shaft at a residence in Lapsi Street, St Julian's.
Sources said the shaft is at a property currently being renovated.
The man, who is Swedish, was drunk when the accident happened. He lives three houses away from the property.

Sources said the man, claimed to have been with two friends. They removed the security gate guarding the property and went in to try to get to his house.
Since the friends were missing when the rescuers got to the man, the police and civil protection personnel emptied a well at the property, which was found empty.
The two friends were subsequently found at home.
A medical team and an ambulance were also on site.
