A worker was grievously injured in a fall at a construction site on Triq ir-Ramla, Mellieħa, on Thursday morning.

The police said the man, a 37-year-old Turkish national who lives in St Paul's Bay, fell some two metres at the site he was working on.

He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

Investigations by the police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
