A 31-year-old man was hospitalised on Tuesday evening after being hit by a car in Sliema Road, Gzira.

The police said the accident happened at 7pm.

The Hamrun resident was hit by a Nissan Juke that was being driven by a 48-year-old man from St Paul's Bay.

The police are investigating.
