A man suffered serious injuries to one of his hands while working on a truck in Ghaxaq on Tuesday morning, the police said.

The accident happened in Valletta Road at about 11am.

The 49-year-old from Żebbuġ was assisted by a medical team and hospitalised.

The police said his injuries are serious.
