A man was seriously injured during an obstacle race known as The Grid at Għajn Tuffieħa on Saturday afternoon.

The police said the accident happened at 4.30pm at the bottom of a slide.

The 30-year-old from Gzira was treated on site and rushed to hospital by members of the Red Cross.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is holding an inquiry.
