Melita Mobile customers will soon be enjoying superfast mobile data speeds, with the launch of the most advanced 5G-ready mobile network.

Melita said it has partnered with Ericsson to provide the most advanced and best performing mobile network in Malta.

This will initially provide mobile internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps, and ensure smooth video usage even in the busiest hours. Customers with 4.5G capable devices will soon be able to make use of this brand new mobile network.

Mario Bacchini, Head of Ericsson Malta, said: "By deploying 5G-ready infrastructure we embark on a new chapter in our long-term partnership with Melita. Our leading solutions will give Melita the flexibility it needs to meet a growing demand for new 5G and IoT use cases, while significantly improving user experience."
