With Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd having celebrated their 70th anniversary, the company that is a leading pet food and pet accessory importer on September 6 once again renewed its sponsorship of the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation.

Andrew Borg Cardona, general manager of Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd, said the sponsorship is a perfect fit, in line with their corporate philosophy of only supporting associations and NGOs with a link with animals.

“We are proud to continue our multi-year partnership with the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation, which does a remarkable job to help blind and visually impaired persons gain their independence thanks to a guide dog.

“We are making a modest contribution, not just through the provision of free nutrition with Royal Canin, whom we have represented in Malta for the past 30 years, to guide dog puppies and brood bitches, but also through offering discounts on all pet accessories in our store in Balzan. This is a small gesture of solidarity and ensures guide dogs get the best products and future guide dogs will grow in an ideal state of health,” he said.

Joseph Stafrace, the newly elected chairman of the MGDF, thanked Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd for their support. “We are deeply grateful to Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd, who follow their corporate philosophy and this year, once again, have extended their support to the Foundation, supplying our guide dogs with quality food and healthy products and accessories at a discount.

“This strong partnership is really important to us and enables us to focus on the various projects we have in the pipeline.”
