Mosta have revealed Mark Miller as their new coach for the rest of the 2018/2019 BOV Premier League campaign.
Miller, 56, will replace Italian coach Enrico Piccioni who parted ways with the Blues last week following the dismal start to the season.
The former U-21 coach has been inactive since being dismissed from the Hibernians post in March of this year.
In his three spells in charge of the Paolites, he guided the club to two title crowns (2008/2009 and 2016/2017) and the FA Trophy way back in 1998.
Miller was also in charge of Valletta with whom he claimed the domestic double in the 2013/2014 campaign.
While Miller’s name is usually linked with Malta’s top teams, this time around he will be in charge of a so-called mid-table team.
Much like his brief spell as Qormi coach halfway into the 2014/2015 season, Mosta have handed him the task to steer the Blues away from the relegation zone.
In fact, the Blues have managed to collect only seven points from their first 10 games of the season.
Two wins against Senglea Athletic and Tarxien Rainbows in the opening stages of the championship, looked to have paved the way for Mosta towards a comfortable season.
Yet, six defeats and a draw in the following 10 matches have seen Mosta slip third from bottom in the Premier League standings.
While he is hoping to turn the fortunes of the club around immediately, Miller will be also looking to strengthen the squad as we are less than two months away from the winter transfer session.
