BOV Premier League side Mosta announced that they have parted ways with coach Enrico Piccioni after their poor start to the season.

The club's decision arrived on Friday evening, where they have also announced that Johann Cilia will be taking charge of the team as caretaker manager.

In their statement, the Blues said, "A mutual agreement was reached today between both parties due to personal reasons."

Moreover, they added that, "Mosta FC will be appointing Mr Johann Cilia as interim coach."

"Mosta FC would like to thank Enrico Piccioni for the work during the past months and wish him luck in his upcoming future," concluded the statement.

While in charge of the club, Piccioni managed the team in the first 10 league matches winning only twice - 2-0 vs Senglea Athletic and 3-1 vs Tarxien Rainbows.

The Blues are currently 12th in the 14-team league, with seven points.
