A 46-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured when he crashed into Portes des Bombes in Floriana on Saturday evening.

The police said the man was riding a Yamaha when he lost control at 6.30pm.

He was given first aid by an ambulance crew before being hospitalised.

Magistrate Elaine Rizzo is holding an inquiry.
