A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell off late on Sunday afternoon.

The police said the 37-year-old Italian resident of Nadur had been driving a Keeway Cityblade in Qala when the incident happened in Immaculate Conception Street.

He was hospitalised immediately. The police are investigating.
