The designs for a new €170 million Outpatients block at Mater Dei Hospital have been presented to the Planning Authority.
The project, which will be completed within four years, will be built over an area of 16,550 square metres, including a 661-vehicle car park.
A floor of the building will host the bus terminus to try to reduce traffic congestion right by the entrance of Mater Dei.
The building will offer medical consultancy rooms while it will integrate related clinical services which are currently not being hosted in the current Outpatients building.
