An 86-yer-old woman from Paola suffered grievous injuries after being hit by a car in her hometown.

The police said the incident happened on Thursday at 7.10pm on Triq Tal-Borġ.

The woman was hit by a Honda Jazz driven by a 43-year-old Libyan man from Fgura. 

Investigations are ongoing.
